Driving a heavy truck requires C qualification. Here we go over what is required to get this driving license and what opportunities it gives you.
With a C driving license you are allowed to drive:
Heavy trucks and passenger cars without weight restrictions.
Light trailers with a maximum total weight of 750 kg.
C qualification is necessary for those who want to drive heavy vehicles professionally or privately. If you plan to drive with heavier trailers, you need a CE qualification. For medium-duty trucks, a C1 qualification may be an alternative.
To get a heavy truck driving license, you need a driving license for group 2. Here's how:
Apply via the Swedish Transport Agency Visit the Swedish Transport Agency's e-service for driving license and fill out the application.
Medical certificate You need a medical certificate that shows that you meet the medical requirements. The medical certificate is sent directly to the Swedish Transport Agency by the doctor.

21 years: To take a C licence you must be 21 years old.
18 years: You can take the licence at the age of 18 if you are training to drive goods transport.
