Driving beam

What are high beams? Here you will find the description of this bright light at the front of the car as well as information about when it can and cannot be used.

This light is the light that provides the best visibility. In snowstorms and fog, for example, the visibility distance is shorter as the snow and fog reflect the light. You may also use high beams when meeting pedestrians as the risk of glare is less than encounters with other cars or vehicles. However, there are several occasions when high beams may not be used. If the road is well lit with lighting or daylight, it must not be used. When meeting other vehicles where the driver is at risk of being dazzled, when driving behind a vehicle and when meeting trams, trains or ships, high beams must not be used if there is a risk of dazzle.
