What does class II moped mean?

Class ll moped is a vehicle on two, three or four wheels and has a maximum speed of 25 km/h. The requirement for driving a class ll moped is a driver's license and that you are at least 15 years old. If, on the other hand, you turned 15 before 1 October 2009, you do not need a driving licence. Unlike class l mopeds, class ll mopeds do not need to be registered and therefore a license plate is not needed. The traffic rules are the same as for a bicycle, so class II mopeds must be driven on cycle lanes (unless the cycle lane has the additional sign "not a moped").
