An expressway has many similarities to a motorway, the same rules apply. The difference is that the lanes on a motorway are always separated, which they are not always on an expressway.
Furthermore, expressways have a slightly worse standard than highways so therefore the speed limit is usually a little lower. As a rule, the on-ramps do not have acceleration lanes, in which case the obligation to give way applies.
