Driver's seat is the place in the vehicle where the driver is seated. In cars made for right-hand traffic, such as Swedish cars, the driver's seat is almost always on the left side. Exceptions are, for example, mail trucks that have the driver's seat on the right-hand side even in right-hand traffic.
In countries that have left-hand traffic, such as England or Australia, the driver's seat is instead located on the right-hand side.
