Markup screen
Marker screens are signs that are used to mark out and illuminate an obstacle. Marker screens are characterised by a striped pattern in bright colours, which are usually used on low bridges but can also be placed on a road to indicate if there is an obstacle.
Marking screens are blue and yellow if they are permanent, while marking screens that are temporary, such as during roadworks, are red and yellow instead.
- A marker screen with an arrow is placed at curves that need to be reinforced with signage.
- A horizontal marker screen indicates that the accessibility of the road is restricted due to an obstacle, and can also indicate that a road is completely or partially closed to traffic.
- A vertical marking screen indicates the edge of the road or carriageway or distinguishes traffic directions in complicated passages. It also states that vehicles must be driven on the side that the yellow fields slope down towards.
