School patrol

When you see people with coats in orange color at pedestrian crossings, these are school patrols. School patrols cannot force you to stay. However, a pedestrian crossing with a school patrol is a so-called unguarded pedestrian crossing, so you have an obligation to give way to pedestrians. They can't force you to stay, but you have to give them preference. If you encounter a school patrol, take it as a rule of thumb to let them control the situation. The school patrol warns the children immediately, which you cannot do when you are in the car. Stop and wait until the situation is controlled.
