What is a school police officer? School police is a student who is in grade six and has received special traffic training to help his younger peers safely cross the road near the school. School police warn their schoolmates by stretching out their arms when there are vehicles nearby. In practice, the same rules apply as at an unguarded pedestrian crossing, but it doesn't hurt to be extra careful.
