By horses, you can mean the animals that are transported in horse transport. These usually have room for up to two horses but are available in several different sizes and designs.
But, horses is also a slang word for horsepower, which is a function of torque and RPM. Typically, you can expect the average car's horsepower to fall somewhere between 150 and 200 horsepower in a regular passenger car.
