Off-road scooter

An off-road scooter is an off-road motor vehicle with an unladen weight of 450 kg. Off-road scooters are divided into snowmobiles and ATVs. If you drive an off-road scooter, you must wear a helmet.

• A snowmobile is an off-road snowmobile designed for travel on snow-covered ground and equipped with tracks and runners.
• An ATV is a kind of quad bike ring.

An off-road scooter may only be driven off-road and not on the road, except in the case of exceptions. The exceptions apply if it takes place in connection with agriculture or forestry and in connection with certain professional practice. If an off-road scooter has to be driven on the road, it may be driven at a maximum speed of 20 km/h.
