Traffic environment refers to the environment in which traffic travels, which can refer to roadways, bike lanes, sidewalks and more.
Many different methods have been developed within the framework of Vision Zero to improve the traffic environment, mainly for motorists. These include central and side railings, milled grooves, clearing of side areas, conversion of intersections into roundabouts, adaptation of speed limits, speed protection of intersections and more.
