Watt

Watt is the unit of measurement for power. The power can be described as the rate of current flowing through an electrical cable. The term kilowatt (kW) is often also used. Kilo means a thousand, so 1 kilowatt is the same as 1000 watts. In vehicles, for example, kW is used when discussing the power of engines, where horsepower was previously used.
