Winter tyres are tyres on the car that provide better grip in winter conditions and are available in two types:Studded winter tyres and non-studded winter tyres, also known as friction tyresWinter tyres are marked with the symbol snowflake or alpine peak (the tip of the iceberg).The minimum permitted tread depth on winter tyres is 3.0 millimetres.The law requires that you use winter tires between December 1 - March 31 if winter road conditions prevail.It is forbidden to have studded winter tires between April 16 - September 30 unless there are or are expected winter road conditions.
