Vehicle tax is a fee that you need to pay to drive your car on ordinary roads. How much you need to pay can change based on how big your car is, how much it harms the environment, and what fuel it uses. If the tax exceeds SEK 3600 a year, it is paid every four months. Otherwise, it is paid once a year.
