What is a cold start?

It is important to avoid cold starts as much as possible, as it consumes more gasoline and leads to more exhaust gases.

A cold start is when the engine is cold and the vehicle is started. The car emits more dangerous exhaust fumes and consumes more gasoline when the engine is cold, so avoid driving a cold car if it is a short distance. One way to avoid cold starts is to use an engine heater to warm up the engine beforehand. How long it should warm the engine before starting depends on the outside temperature.
