What is biofuel?

As is well known, fossil fuels are not always a particularly green alternative. Learn more about biofuel and how this alternative fuel works.

Biofuels are renewable fuels produced by living organisms. Biofuels do not contribute to an increased greenhouse effect as the amount of carbon dioxide formed during combustion is part of the carbon cycle. The biofuels used today include biogas, ethanol and biodiesel.
