Alcohol is a psychoactive substance with addictive properties that has been used in many cultures for centuries. Consumption of alcohol leads to impaired reaction and reduced risk awareness, which makes it dangerous to drive under the influence of alcohol. Therefore, it is forbidden to drive a car with alcohol in your body. In Sweden, the limit for drunk driving is 0.2 per mille of alcohol in the blood. Driving a car with an alcohol content above this limit is punishable and can lead to a fine or a shorter prison sentence. For aggravated drunk driving, the limit is 1.0 per thousand, which can result in a prison sentence of up to two years.
