A dangerous crosswind is a wind from the side that can be so strong that it affects the driving experience. Places where dangerous crosswinds are common are often marked with the road sign "Warning for crosswinds", which consists of a yellow triangle with a red border, with a wind cone on it.
Dangerous crosswinds can be unpleasant to experience in normal passenger cars, but for vehicles with a larger area, such as trucks or caravan combinations, they can be downright dangerous. Even lighter vehicles such as mopeds and some motorcycles can be affected a lot by dangerous crosswinds.
