Fuel consumption is the amount of fuel that a vehicle consumes per distance or unit of time. For a consumer, this measure affects both operating costs and the car's environmental characteristics. Different fuel consumption measures are used in different countries. In Sweden, the measure of litres per mile is traditionally used.
