Living street

A pedestrian area or courtyard street is an area where traffic takes place on pedestrians' terms.

It is therefore allowed to drive with motor vehicles in a pedestrian speed area, but the rules around this are adapted.

For example, you are not allowed to drive faster than walking speed, which is usually around 5-7 km/h and you have an obligation to give way to pedestrians, so here it is important to be aware of the people around the vehicle as it is the pedestrians who control a little how you can drive here.

Give way applies when leaving the pedestrian area, this is usually called the exit rule. In addition, parking is only allowed in specially designated parking spaces.
