An additional "Multi-Way Stop" panel lets road users know that all other directions of travel also stop.Regardless of whether there are other road users nearby or not, all vehicles must come to a complete stop before continuing through the intersection. Often it is the case that the person who came first to their stop line also drives first, but there are no rules for that, it is mutual consideration that applies.
