Glossary
A walkway, or sidewalk as it is often called, is a section of a street designed specifically for pedestrians. Some streets have one pedestrian path but the vast majority have two, with one on each side of the road.
The footpath is usually separated from the road, either by a height difference or by, for example, a strip of grass.
