Peer pressure

What is peer pressure? We explain the definition of peer pressure and also how it relates to drivers and why it is important to resist peer pressure.

Peer pressure refers to people's, usually young people's, social pressure on each other, for example within a group of friends. It is a risk factor in driving, especially for younger drivers who, for example, may drive too fast or take unnecessary risks due to peer pressure. It is therefore important to be able to stand up for yourself and to dare to resist peer pressure.
