Traction Mode

In some situations when driving, you need to use traction mode, such as when you need to crawl or when you are standing still or need to start uphill. The traction position is achieved by using the clutch and throttle in an even balance.

Finding the traction position can be difficult from person to person, but it also varies for different car models. Some models have sensitive pedals and others don't. To find the traction position:

  1. Hold down the clutch and stop on level ground so that the car is completely stationary.
  2. Gently raise the clutch pedal a few steps while applying a little throttle.
  3. When you feel the car slowly start to move forward, you have found the traction position.
  • If the engine revs violently and the car jerks away, you are giving too much throttle.
  • If the engine shuts down, you have raised the clutch too high.
