The accelerator pedal is the pedal in a car, for example, that is used to increase speed, when you press the accelerator pedal, the engine's speed increases.
The accelerator pedal is usually located on the far right and the brake pedal on the left of it, so that the driver can manoeuvre both with his right foot. To the left of the brake pedal is the clutch pedal, which is operated with the left foot.
