What is a bogie? Learn about this concept that is commonly encountered in connection with heavier vehicles such as buses and trucks.

A bogie is an undercarriage that can be rotated against the body of a vehicle. The Boggin typically has four wheels, which spread the vehicle's load over more axles and reduce axle load, increase load capacity and improve cornering. A drive bogie is a bogie in which one or more of the axles are driven by motors.
