Brake Assist can help you avoid hit-and-run collisions and accidents with crossing vehicles and pedestrians. In addition to the fact that the system consists of a distance and collision warning, it also supports you with situational brake force support in case you do not press the brake pedal hard enough.
From 24 February 2011, all new passenger cars and light commercial vehicles in the EU must be equipped with brake assistance systems from the factory.
