Glossary
The clutch pedal is the leftmost pedal in the car. The clutch is the mechanism that sits between the engine and the gearbox. It is the clutch that transfers power from the engine to the wheels of cars with manual transmissions.
When you press the clutch pedal, the contact between the motor and the wheels is broken, causing the wheels to continue to rotate on their own, allowing you, for example, to shift up to a higher speed. When you release the clutch, the contact between the motor and the wheels is recreated, and the wheels rotate according to the power of the motor.
