Economical driving style

An economical driving style or eco driving means that the driver plans his or her driving and drives in a way that is as fuel-efficient as possible.

This means, among other things, that you:

  • Keep your distance from the car in front to avoid braking every time they do so
  • Turn off the engine when standing still in
    • traffic jams
  • Maintain speed and drive in as high a gear as possible
  • Use engine brakes whenever possible

In addition to saving fuel, an economical driving style also means that the car emits less harmful exhaust fumes and that the risk of accidents is reduced.
