Class I moped, a so-called EU moped, is defined as a motor vehicle that may drive a maximum of 45 km/h and that has two wheels and an internal combustion engine.Moped class I must be registered and have a license plate mounted at the rear of the vehicle and be traffic insured in order to be driven. Class I mopeds may not be driven on cycle paths. To drive a class I moped, you must be at least 15 years old and have a driving licence with authorisation AM.
