Eco driving

Eco Driving, economical driving or eco-driving, is a driving technique that can result in 10-20 percent lower fuel consumption than the driving style that most people have today. The technology is designed to reduce the environmental impact of motoring, but at the same time it means significantly lower fuel costs and less wear and tear on the vehicle.

Examples of Eco Driving are:

  • Avoid stopping completely and use your kinetic energy - plan your driving.
  • Skip gears.
  • Use the engine brake whenever possible.
  • Use engine heaters, as a cold engine consumes more fuel.
