Exit distance

What does an exit road mean? Learn what exit sections mean and what purpose they fill in the traik, as well as how different road types have different exit sections.

An off-ramp is a stretch of road that is before an off-ramp and is intended to allow you to reduce your speed before turning off, without having to brake onto the main road. Highways typically have longer exit distances, allowing plenty of time to brake safely. Motorways, on the other hand, often have shorter exit distances, which can mean that you sometimes have to start braking already on the main road.
