Fatigue simply means that you are tired. Fatigue impairs judgment, reaction, thinking and course-keeping. The reaction time after a sleepless night is extended by about 15%, which is equivalent to 0.8 per mille in the blood.The law is strict when it comes to fatigue in traffic. A driver who has caused an accident due to fatigue is equated with a driver who has driven under the influence of alcohol, for example.
