All traffic accidents that occur in the dark are accidents in the dark. Since all types of accidents can occur in the dark, a large part of all traffic accidents are night accidents.
Approximately 30% of all road accidents in which someone is injured occur in the dark. The risk of accidents is 2-3 times greater when driving at night compared to driving in daylight.
