LPG or liquefied petroleum gas is a gaseous fuel consisting of light hydrocarbons such as propane and butane. LPG is extracted from natural gas and crude oil and, compared to both oil and coal, has lower carbon dioxide emissions and very low emissions of sulphur, heavy metals, particulate matter and nitrogen oxides.
