A pedestrian or pedestrian is a person who walks on foot, roller skis, skates, roller skates or similar, in traffic. Sometimes the word 'walking' is also used to describe a pedestrian.
At unsupervised pedestrian crossings, you as a car driver have an obligation to give way to pedestrians, but pedestrians are not allowed to use a pedestrian crossing without first ensuring that any passing vehicles stop.
It is a pedestrian's obligation, for example, to cross the roadway in interaction with the rest of the traffic if there is no pedestrian crossing, and to do so without unnecessary delay.
