Glossary
The length of a vehicle is the distance it measures from the back, to the front, including any cargo or combination.
Including the load, the total length of the vehicle must not exceed 24 metres. This also applies with a trailer attached. Exception: If certain requirements are met, the total length may be 25.25 metres. All loads that protrude in front of the car must be marked, the same applies to all loads that protrude backwards more than 1 meter.
The average passenger car is about 4.8 meters long, but this varies wildly depending on the model and the purpose of the car.
