A visual impairment means that a person has a visual impairment, by definition it means that a person with glasses or lenses has a visual acuity of 0.3 or worse, or a field of vision of less than 20 degrees. It is possible to be born with visual impairments, to experience them throughout life in connection with an accident or illness, or to develop them later in life due to age.
